bits and pieces of my life.
Malaysians have not enjoyed much broadband action until recently when our local mobile operators and aspiring wireless ISPs joined the broadband fray. Pricing has gone down to acceptable price points, at the expense of disappointing speeds (to offer 384kbps broadband is an insult). With the explosion of broadband packages, it is also getting really confusing for the average consumer. The following is an attempt to consolidate the latest major offerings by each key broadband provider, so bear with me if it’s wrong/incomplete as even i’m confused.

The potong war, and the anti-potong countermeasures has tickled the public’s imagination on both P1 WIMAX and Streamyx promotions this year end.

Actually, I was using 512kbps package for more than 2 years now, although I had problems with streamyx, to be honest it’s one of the most stable bet in all of the providers that are here now. Now they’re having a promotion for those ’seniors’ to upgrade and it only needs RM4. You guys shoud check it out if you’re on a 512kbps package because now i’m upgraded to 1mbps.
The next provider I’ll think of trying is DiGi Turbo3G.
Why? because i think overall, their package can beat streamyx in terms of speed and stability. We”ll see about that when it comes to Sarawak.
